Spa treatment

Bromide and iodide mineral waters

As a spa, Băile Govora is one of the resorts richest in bromide and iodide mineral waters in Europe (second place). It is therefore recommended for treating respiratory diseases (bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema, rhinitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, etc.), degenerative diseases (spondylosis, arthrosis, polyarthrosis) and rheumatic joint diseases (tendinitis, scapulohumeral periarthritis), as well as peripheral and central neurological disorders (mild paresis, after-effects of poliomyelitis, etc.), certain post-traumatic conditions and associated diseases (gynaecological, endocrine, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary, etc.).

The modern spa complexes offer baths with iodine and sulphurous mineral water, warm mud applications, rooms for aerosol therapy, inhalations and sprays, electrotherapy, physiotherapy, treatments with bee products and more.
